ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 for Danfoss Saginomiya

On June 4th, 2009 Danfoss Saginomiya Sp. z o.o. has received ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification by BSI Management Systems.
We now operate a Quality Management System and an Environmental Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 for the following scope:
- production of pressure switches,
- sales and service of control devices in refrigeration,
- air conditioning and industrial systems.
The certification is natural for us in our efforts to provide our market with products and services at the highest standard.

Environmental Policy of Danfoss Saginomiya

Danfoss Saginomiya Sp.z o.o. is a customer-oriented world-wide supplier of technical products, services and solutions within the area of energy saving, food preservation, productivity, increased comfort and environmental improvements.
Following the corporate environmental policy, company treat its impacts on environment as one of their priorities. We try to combine care about the environment with developing the standard of our products and thus, to increase effectiveness of industry and human comfort.
We aim to minimise our negative impact on internal and external environment:
- Directly by continuous improvements of activities interfering with the environment;
- Indirectly by promoting environmental awareness among our employees, customers, suppliers and people working on behalf of our company.
We monitor and supervise our processes on a regular basis and compare the results with established targets, striving for continuous improvement of parameters.
New and changed products and investments undergo environmental evaluation already at the planning stage to ensure full control over their impact on internal and external environment.
All activities concerning environment and delivered products are performed in accordance with laws in force and other obligations.
To fulfil the above commitments we have implemented and we maintain Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 standard.
Focus on quality and service excellence

During the year we face peaks in demand, especially in the lead up to the summer period. In order to prepare our production capacity to the sales expectations for the following year, we have anticipated significant growth, and as a result have increased our production capacity of cartridge controls from the beginning of 2008 by 30%. Since then, as the summer period has approached, we have also broken our production volume record, thanks to sales, our investment and an extra effort from the production team.
Our highest priority is the quality of the products produced, and we have spent quite some resources in our quality work. It was a nice reward for our team, from these efforts, to earn “top score” after a 3-days quality audit from one of our significant customers. Despite being proud of such results, we know that there is always room for improvements. This mind-set of continued room for improvement or “Kaizen” in Japanese, has enabled us recently to obtain an award from another of our significant customers. We achieved a top ranking in their supplier evaluation system for the year 2007 focusing on Quality, Cost and Service.
For all our customers, we strive continuously to achieve such results of excellent quality and service, with the “Kaizen” mind-set, mirroring the results achieved from these more formalised rankings and audits.
