During the year we face peaks in demand, especially in the lead up to the summer period. In order to prepare our production capacity to the sales expectations for the following year, we have anticipated significant growth, and as a result have increased our production capacity of cartridge controls from the beginning of 2008 by 30%. Since then, as the summer period has approached, we have also broken our production volume record, thanks to sales, our investment and an extra effort from the production team.

Our highest priority is the quality of the products produced, and we have spent quite some resources in our quality work. It was a nice reward for our team, from these efforts, to earn “top score” after a 3-days quality audit from one of our significant customers. Despite being proud of such results, we know that there is always room for improvements. This mind-set of continued room for improvement or “Kaizen” in Japanese, has enabled us recently to obtain an award from another of our significant customers. We achieved a top ranking in their supplier evaluation system for the year 2007 focusing on Quality, Cost and Service.

For all our customers, we strive continuously to achieve such results of excellent quality and service, with the “Kaizen” mind-set, mirroring the results achieved from these more formalised rankings and audits.

From 1st April 2007, Danfoss Saginomiya and Danfoss Dubai will work together to further develop sales of the range from Saginomiya and manage the existing business of Saginomiya in the region.

With the setting up in the future of a distribution centre in Dubai/Jebel Ali free trade zone, Danfoss will have a state of the art logistics set-up in order to enhance service to customers. Danfoss Saginomiya products will also be supplied in this way.

The hot climate in the region, has given rise to several major OEM producers of air conditioning equipment. Due to the large geographical area of the region, there are also contrasts in requirements. For example, in Jordan it is cold enough in winter to justify using more than small electrical heaters, used further south, with a resultant demand for heat pumps. Despite the different instabilities in the region, many economies have developed well, for example Jordan. Saudi Arabia is the largest country by land mass, population and also for industry. From the Jebel Ali free trade zone, Danfoss CDC can deliver to all major OEMs in Saudi Arabia.

Dubai is currently a very fast developing area, with construction of numerous large projects, including the tallest building in the world, part of the Burj Dubai development project. Projects in Dubai are not limited to one building but to a whole expanse of high rise buildings, with luxurious apartments, shopping malls and hotels. Manufacturers of refrigeration and air conditioning units are also well established in the United Arab Emirates, to service the demand of units.

With this new sales channel, Danfoss Saginomiya/Danfoss Dubai aim to repeat what has been achieved in other European countries, with the good sales development made possible with the extensive Danfoss sales network. Already in the space of a few months in 2007, new business has been established with Danfoss Saginomiya products both at air conditioning and refrigeration OEMs.

During 27th IKK exhibition that took place in Nürnberg from October 18-20, Danfoss Saginomiya introduced a new XGE Fan Control.

The newest design by Saginomiya, Japan, is an ideal solution for many different types of condensing and air-conditioning units where space is limited.

While maintaining the excellent reliability record of the well established RGE range, the new product has the benefit of smaller size, easier adjusting as well as increased installation and application flexibility.

Fan speed control is becoming increasingly widespread in different refrigeration and air conditioning units, with the benefits of reduced noise and stable condensing pressures under different climatic conditions.

The XGE complements the well known range of Danfoss Saginomiya fan speed controllers combining the old product quality with the new comfort of installation.
